• Learn to identify the essential elements of fair housing practices – the mission and purpose of Title VIII and the history of Fair Housing in the US;
• Develop the skills necessary to promote professionalism within he industry and to reduce your risk from legal liabilities as it relates to fair housing;
• Get acquainted with areas of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics dealing with Protected Classes & Exemptions that are applicable to Fair Housing Regulations;
• Review HUD guidelines for service animals and important accommodations and modification rules that will assist tenants and/or property owners better understand Fair Housing Laws

Cancellation Policy for LIBOR courses:

Full refund will be issued if cancellation is made 3 or more business days prior to class. NO REFUNDS if cancellation is less than 3 business days, instead Education Credit will be issued for use within one year of cancellation. Students who do not show for class will LOSE entire tuition. LIBOR reserves the right to cancel class if minimum enrollments is not met. If LIBOR needs to cancel or delay a class due to inclement weather or emergency, information will be posted on LIREALTOR.com AFTER 7:00 am and also on our automated voice mail message system on 631-661-4800, also AFTER 7:00 am

Attendance Policy for LIBOR Courses

If the class is approved for NYS CE: LIBOR strictly follows Section 176.6 of the NYS License Law – Article 12A. Students are only permitted to miss 10% of classroom time. If more than 10% of class time is missed for any reason, NYS continuing education credits will not be issued. All New York licensing classes follow the same law for permissible time missed.

Cancellation Policy for NAR Designation courses:

A cancellation 10 or more days before a class is subject to a $25 fee. No refund is available for a cancellation made within 10 days of class or for a no-show.
