Save lives one step at a time

Oct 10, 2018

Twenty-five years ago, 2,500 Long Islanders took action and walked at Long Island’s first ever Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event hosted at Eisenhower Park. Because of the passion and importance of this topic in particular, Long Island’s walk quickly grew to being the largest Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in the country. Each year Long Islanders continue to raise millions of dollars annually directly funding lifesaving research, promoting education, early detection, as well as providing comprehensive patient support for those in need of it.

Through the “We’re More than REALTORS®…” campaign LIBOR is proud to sponsor this year’s 25th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks hosted on:

Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Jones Beach State Park – Field 5 – Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The Walk will have a Rolling Start.

Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Suffolk County Community College, Eastern Campus in Riverhead – Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The Walk officially starts at: 8:30 a.m.

Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5-mile walk that brings thousands of people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer.

Complimentary REALTOR® hats will be given to LIBOR participants (while supplies last) on both walk days.  At the LIBOR table in the Care Tent at the Jones Beach event at the West Bathhouse and at the Health Tent located at Field 1 of Suffolk County Community College Eastern Campus in Riverhead.
