Long Island Board of REALTORS® Donates $20,000 to REALTOR® Relief Fund to Aid Victims of Sandy


January 14, 2013 - West Babylon, NY - In the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy, which has affected many of our REALTOR® members across the island, the Long Island Board of REALTORS® Inc. has made a donation in the amount of $20,000, to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) REALTOR® Relief Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to survivors and their families across the country. They are working closely with associations in New York, New Jersey, and other affected areas to assist in the ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts in our communities.
 
As of now several hundred REALTORS® have been on the receiving end of the Relief Fund in the form of a grant program that was created to assist our members with temporary housing costs related to Sandy. If you are a REALTOR® who has been displaced from your home due to the storm, and have not applied for the REALTORS® Relief Foundation grant, please do so today. Click here to download the application and guidelines for this grant money, deadline for application is January 31, 2013.
