Online Course Policy
The Long Island Board of Realtors is approved by the New York State Department of State, Division of Licensing Services, for the purpose of offering the distance education courses listed under "Courses Available".
Getting Credit For Completion
Once you have completed all course requirements, you are ready to receive credit!
Fill out and submit the Electronic Student Affidavit(s) for each online course you complete.
LIBOR is notified when you submit the electronic affidavit; our staff will notify the DOS of your course completion and send you a certificate of completion for each course you complete.
Course Completion Certificate
Once you submit your Electronic Student Completion Affidavit(s) for each course, LIBOR is notified of your completion. After LIBOR confirms your course is complete, you will receive a Certificate of Completion via mail. Please keep all Certificates of Completion for your records. We, as a school, will notify Department of State on your behalf, of your successful completion of credits. In the event your certificate is lost, a duplicate may be obtained from LIBOR by written request to our office and $5.00 replacement fee. Order duplicate certificates here.
Refunds
Refunds will be granted for On-Line courses within 5 days of purchase, provided the course has not been completed. No refunds will be issued for On-Line Courses thereafter. You cannot transfer from an online course to a classroom course. Courses expire 3 months from the date of purchase.
