LIBOR Welcomes New Government Affairs Director, Queens

Long Island Board of REALTORS® is excited to announce that Gregory A. May has joined the Association as Government Affairs Director, Queens. In this role, Greg will report directly to Marlo Paventi Dilts and will be responsible for managing and administering local governmental affairs activities for LIBOR, working on advocacy efforts on behalf of the Association, assisting with REALTOR® Party efforts, fundraising for RPAC, and more.

Prior to LIBOR Greg was the Consumer Affairs Commissioner for Nassau County under County Executive Laura Curran. During his time with Consumer Affairs, he modernized the Department’s computer systems and streamlined the office organization. During the early days of the pandemic, he led the Department’s efforts to combat price gouging of essential goods. Under his leadership, the Department brought attention to the sale of counterfeit vape products being sold in Nassau County. From 2015 – 2018 Greg served as the first, and only, Commissioner of the Nassau County Taxi & Limousine Commission, and from 2010 – 2015 was the Director of Legislative Affairs for County Executive Ed Mangano. Before joining Nassau County Greg worked as a Legislative Aide with the Long Island Regional Office of the New York State Assembly Minority Leader.

Greg holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Political Science from Long Island University and was one of ten Graduate Scholars during the 2007 session of the New York State Assembly. He currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Long Island and as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of Cedarmere.
