Long Island Housing Data for January 2018

The January 2018 closed median home price for Long Island, which includes Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens’ housing data, was $440,000, representing a 4.8% increase over last year. Nassau County reported a $503,500 closed median home price in January representing a 6.0% increase over $475,000 reported by MLSLI last year. Suffolk County reported a closed median price of $359,000, which represents a 5.9% increase over a year ago. Queens reported a closed median home price of $547,000, representing an increase of 12.8% over $485,000 reported in January 2017.

The total number of Long Island residential inventory in January 2018 was 13,350 representing an 6.3% decrease over last year.
