The December 2016 closed median home price for Long Island, which includes Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens’ housing data, was $410,000 representing a 6.5% increase over last year.  Nassau County reported a $470,000 closed median home price in December representing an 8% increase over $435,000 reported by MLSLI last year.  Suffolk County reported a closed median price of $330,000, which represents a 2.9% increase over a year ago.  Queens reported a closed median home price of $464,500, which represents a 4.6% increase over last year.

The total number of Long Island residential inventory was 13,741 representing a 21.1% year over year decline in available listings than a year ago.
