Description
This course addresses the relationship between Real Estate and other matters of concern when settling the estate of a deceased party.
Topics include the following:
Do I still have a listing if the owner dies?
If the owner was in contract, is the estate still bound to sell the property to that buyer?
What happens if there is a Will?
What happens if there is no Will?
Does it matter if the real property is held in a Trust?
Who can sell the real estate of the deceased?
What happens if a Will is contested?
What is the value of the real estate to the parties left behind?
What is probate?
What is an Administrative Proceeding?
How can a broker protect a commission when dealing with an estate?
This course is approved for 7.5 Hours CE Credit
Includes DOS Mandated 3 Hours Fair Housing & 1 Hour Agency and Also Includes 2.5 Hours National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Mandated Ethics

Cancellation Policy for LIBOR courses:
Full refund will be issued if cancellation is made 3 or more business days prior to class.
NO REFUNDS if cancellation is less than 3 business days, instead Education Credit will be issued for use within one year of cancellation.
Students who do not show for class will LOSE entire tuition. LIBOR reserves the right to cancel class if minimum enrollments is not met. If LIBOR needs to cancel or delay a class due to inclement weather or emergency, information will be posted on LIREALTOR.com AFTER 7:00 am and also on our automated voice mail message system on 631-661-4800, also AFTER 7:00 am
Attendance Policy for LIBOR Courses
If the class is approved for NYS CE: LIBOR strictly follows Section 176.6 of the NYS License Law – Article 12A. Students are only permitted to miss 10% of classroom time. If more than 10% of class time is missed for any reason, NYS continuing education credits will not be issued. All New York licensing classes follow the same law for permissible time missed.
Cancellation Policy for NAR Designation courses:
A cancellation 10 or more days before a class is subject to a $25 fee. No refund is available for a cancellation made within 10 days of class or for a no-show.”
